It's all a category

There are two things we hear every time we present new execution ideas to our ECD. First, we hear "It's a cousin of (thus and such) campaign." And second, "Oh, it's the old (insert obscure category here) category." Just in the moment you think you've tilled fresh earth, you find out that mysteriously a category for your sort of thinking sprung up over night. And, since we are in the business of creating, not copying, we are forced to swerve hard when we hear "category" and look for something no one has ever conceived of ever, anywhere, at any time. With so many categories running around out there, there should really be some sort of catalog to help the beleaguered field of advertising. We want to provide just that. So, enjoy our list and please feel free to pass us examples of the different categories we cover so people know we are not just making this stuff up.
